Terms of Service

• Mike's Guitar Fix is mobile only. The registered business address is not open to the public. Trespassers will be prosecuted.

• All meetings will take place at the mutually agreed location(s).

• There is a $20 fee for showing up more than 15 minutes late. Customer is considered a no-show after 30 minutes. A "time and travel expense" fee of $40 must be paid via Venmo to reschedule.

• The term "repair(s)" may refer to any type of instrument service.

• Unforeseen issues found during a repair may require an updated estimate for the repair to be completed. If the customer does not agree to the updated estimate, the repair is ceased and all applied labor and parts must be paid for.

• Unforeseen issues found during repair that prevent the repair from being completed do not constitute a refund, all applied labor and parts must be paid for.

• Payments must be made by cash or Venmo (wireless transfer or tap-to-pay) to retrieve your instrument. 

• There is a "time and travel expense" minimum fee of $20 if customer is unable to pay upon agreed meeting. Mike will hold on to the instrument in accordance with terms noted.

• Services include up to two weeks of instrument storage after completion, each additional day is $3. Instruments left/unpaid longer than 30 days will be considered abandoned and then sold or parted out to cover unpaid debts.

• No refunds on labor, parts, or strings used during repairs. If the customer is not satisfied with labor performed, issue will be remedied on a case-by-case basis.

• Mike's Guitar Fix is not responsible for any items unrelated or undisclosed to the repair left in gig-bags, cases, or attached to instrument. (Example: fret wraps, straps, clip-on tuners, picks.)

• Mike's Guitar Fix is not responsible for any damage that may occur due to a compromised part or finish, or incompatible part or string provided by the customer.

• Hazardous or messy substances found in or on items provided by the customer may result in fees in addition to the original quote OR a complete refusal of service at Mike's discretion. Here are some of my first hand examples: roaches, spiders, spider eggs, ants, mites, glitter, silica gel, blood, feces, underwear, unidentified sticky substances.

• If possible, leave previously-installed strings on prior to service for proper instrument assessment. Previously-installed strings will be discarded at Mike's discretion. You may provide your own un-opened strings with the instrument or purchase strings from Mike's Guitar Fix at an additional cost.
